There is a young lady we know (and have since she was a child) who has found herself with no form of heat in this bitter cold. We are attempting to get some funds pulled together to get her a heater large enough to keep the bitter cold outside from Walmart. If you are able to help call us (252) 226-0688, email me email@example.com, or use this donation link (for paypal firstname.lastname@example.org)
If you know someone who would be blessed to have one, or if you would like to get one, make sure to contact us email@example.com or PO Box 3051 Henderson, NC 27536 and we will be honored and blessed to send one out to you, your family member, friend, neighbor, or whomever you think it may bring some love, light, and Truth too! We will be sending it to those who already on our list! We send these also to many who are incarnated, elderly, those with out a local assembly to fellowship with regularly. We would like to encourage you to write, visit, and pray for those you know who are struggling with life’s worries, and do what you can to strengthen and encourage them, and be strengthened and encouraged as well! If you wish to help with postage and printing feel free to donate for that purpose. Shalom Shalom!
We have secured substantial food goods to disperse in storm impacted areas of Florida. We need to secure fuel for transport now, we will be taking the load to St. Augustine where it will be dispersed as needed to all those in need in the area, shared with other agencies, and used to prepare hot meals for those in need. You can contact us or use paypal to donate! (Want to help drive!??!) We hope to go the 15th but it requires Fuel!!!
The winter months are an especially difficult time to wrestle with homelessness. We work diligently to support the only local men’s crisis shelter in our area by helping staff the over night volunteer shifts. There are just a few of us, and most work full day time jobs. We would love to have YOUR help in meeting these needs. If you are able to sit over night one or more nights (18 years and older, not on registry, heart to help others) please let us know. If you are not able to stay overnight but want to help, meals are provided also so we can arrange a date for you/your group to cover a meal or help you turn your monetary gift into food for these men. Please Consider helping if you can, and keep our efforts and the men who seek the shelter in your prayers. Shalom Shalom (Note* some have asked about the strange breathing sounds in the video lol, that is our rescue boxer Levi, that is how he breathes)
Stop your ignorant wickedness world…. If you see someone being wicked because they perhaps know no better… warn them, after that it is on them. You can’t change people’s heart or actions.
Ezekiel 3:17-19 Human being, I have appointed you to be a watchman for the house of Isra’el. When you hear a word from my mouth, you are to warn them for me. If I say to a wicked person, ‘You will certainly die’; and you fail to warn him, to speak and warn the wicked person to leave his wicked way and save his life; then that wicked person will die guilty; and I will hold you responsible for his death. On the other hand, if you warn the wicked person, and he doesn’t turn from his wickedness or his wicked way, then he will still die guilty; but you will have saved your own life.
As many of you may know we are very active in our community men’s shelter. It operates from November 1st until the end of March. The shelter provides a safe warm place to sleep, shower, and laundry, along (new this year!) medical and other services to homeless men. This is done through volunteers and donated meals! If you are local and willing to “Cook a meal” (for 1-8ish folks) once a week, once a month, once?…then let me know and we will work out what day. If you are not local but would like to help fill the need these homeless men have of a hot meal we can take a donation and buy dinner at a local eatery (of your choice) and get it to them. Also if you local and willing to give a 12 hour over night volunteer shift contact us, we could use the help! If you have questions about what we do to support the shelter, or it’s rules, or the organization in charge of it feel free to contact us as well. Shalom Shalom, and always remember to help those who are in need as best you can!
While we have been helping people and families in crisis for over a decade we have until now not embarked on a primary “pet relief” operation. We were contacted by several groups of folks who have gathered goods to help those folks in hurricane impacted areas with animal care needs. Horse feed, dog food, cat food, and things of that nature. So we are going to be getting these items gathered up and rolling out to Florida first part of next week! We picked up from Jaded Paws Rescue in Jacksonville NC this morning, a group in Georgia Sunday, and another group in western NC Monday before headed down to drop some at port for shipping to PR, and then the rest to south Florida for distribution. Please continue to pray for those folks who have seen so much devastation! Thanks to all the folks and groups for showing love and care enough to donate, gather, and care for these animals needs! Shalom Shalom!
There is a need that has been brought to our attention and we need help meeting it, join us! There is a disabled gentleman who has no a bite to eat, not a crumb in the pantry. He has been in food distress for a over a week and we are going to go get basic items and if you would like to help us make it happen use this donate button, or call us and we can make it happen! Let’s work together end hunger…one pantry at the time!
So I wanted to take a moment to share some insights I have had strengthened over the past couple of months working disaster/crisis relief with the storms in Texas and Florida. There are a lot of individuals, families, churches, groups, communities, agencies, and the like of all sizes who have been “Trying to help” those who were impacted. So let me start off with saying that from our starting efforts, my family and one other things grew to involve our entire fellowship, extended family and friends, local businesses, and huge national groups…from single one person to the largest “aid agency” in America and all points between. For the most part it has been inspiring to be a part of, and more of a blessing and help to those that needed the help than I could ever hope to express. Join in an effort of this type when you can, words cant explain the love returned when you reach out and help people who have such an event. Now then, lets take a moment and think about all this “Trying to help” those who were impacted. That takes many shapes and varieties of action/stuff/work. It is written clearly in 1 Corinthians 10:31 “Well, whatever you do, whether it’s eating or drinking or anything else, do it all so as to bring glory to YHWH.” So when a person, family, group, fellowship, agency, you name it has a common goal “Trying to help” then advancing that goal should be number one. Always makes sure you are working in a spirit of cooperation to advance the common goal, never in a spirit of competition, trying to one up some other group or advance your own efforts. Meet the goal, labor for His Glory, and don’t spend to much time “peering in to the eye” of other groups/agencies when there is critical important work to be done. Work with those tools that help meet your goal, and avoid those which are counter to meeting the needs you are addressing. Most importantly of all, is when you see “bad news” about this or that agency/group just know that bad news travels faster than good, and focus on the hundreds of efforts of love that impacted real people with real crisis for every “bad’ news you heard. You are only accountable for the works you do (or don’t) so don’t be to focused on inventorying someone else works…you are their master, and not in a judgement seat of their hearts! For all those who have been a part of our efforts, thank you for helping us meet these needs, and we pray increase on all the areas of need. Be about the good works my brethren, and Shalom and blessings upon all who seek His Peace!
There are those all around who are doing things to address the needs of others. Those who help and do, and are about getting these despertely needed good works done. Arthur Lewis and Veterans on Patrol are doing it every day, and have been for years. Here is a video that was done about the work they do for Vets that are in housing crisis.
If you are aware a need in our local area please use this link to refer it to us, we will do what we can!
How should we deal with/or witness to a pathological liar needing of good counsel?
You can only give the witness/correction/advice to these sorts of persons but so many times. Once you have seen that and they pay no heed to the TREASURE of YHWH’s Word (Matthew 7:6) then you must leave them alone (Titus 3:10). Remember that your witness is just a portion, your prayers for their freedom from the bondage can shatter the chains they are in if they wish to be free of them…..but keep in mind that “mental illness” isn’t what we think it is…. Romans 1:28 lets us know some people due to their choices have been given (by YHWH) to their carnal lives….and are incapable of good works. (Titus 1:15-16)
