Lift those incarcerated in prayer for safety and mercy

Keep those locked up in prison in your prayers, Just visited brethren in Oklahoma’s “care”, and it is very unsafe right now with gang and drug problems…unsafe for those who are locked up, and those who work there. Keep them lifted!
A lot of people have preconception about people locked up…some are rotten scoundrels, some are exactly what many “label” them all…but by and large they are normal people who ran amuck in choices at some point, or got trapped in system that turns citizens into inmates for unjust reasons…regardless of they why, they are still people…and given a chance many can become the best neighbor, friend, etc you could ever want. Just like a badge doesn’t mean a “good” or “bad” cop/CO…being locked up doesn’t automatically tell about a man’s character. The disciples were locked up, many great men in history were locked up.

Abilities and Disabilities come in many forms…be aware of Spiritual “disabilities”

Most of us are aware that we all have areas which we are gifted and some areas which we are “not inclined”.  What we don’t always consider is just like there can be physical disability that impair someone being able to met an expectation, there can be other factors “harder” for us to see that can impact us or others. The four areas we should work to mindful of are, Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Abilities. We wouldn’t expect a person who their eyesight due to an injury to read to us. Some people have had emotional trauma which has changed their ability to interact in the same sort of way. If they gave been betrayed or mistreated and that “injury” didn’t heal then they won’t be able to trust/love like someone who hasn’t had that trauma. Spiritually there are disabilities as well, and these can be had by any group, any faith, any professed belief system, or those with none at all. The ability to show “love” and “decency” quick mile post to a persons “Spiritual” health.  Spiritual “health” is visible in these elements: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Lend a hand to feeding the men at the local homeless shelter?

Our local town has men’s shelter in the winter months. We are doing some fairly extensive volunteering there for over night shifts. If the shelter doesn’t have enough volunteers to cover the over nights they have to close, and it is the only option for folks in our area. As a rule, each day is split up into three volunteer needs, “Evening meal”, “Sign in”, and “Over night shelter staff”. We are looking some help to make Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of this week “Evening Meal”. We would love to be able to get pizzas, or chicken, or subs, or anything such as that for Thursday and Friday but need a hand pulling together the funds to make that happen! Please inbox if you would like to help in this matter or you can use the

<–here. Also if you are willing to come down and spend an evening let me know  that would be amazing as well! (Need is through the end of March).  Shalom Shalom!

For 10 years we have had “three” basic rules for our community…

These rules have guarded from many ills, but we have learned that more is required. We have been much more guarded about whom we allow to dwell among us, but assuredly this is now the preamble to our three rules:

Here every man will treat every other man as a brother. Every man will be treated like a brother. Every woman will treat every other woman as a sister. Every woman will be treated like a sister.  All feelings, emotions, backgrounds, histories, experiences, opinions, educations, and view points are parts of the sum that make up the whole of a person, but ACTIONS (fruit) is what will be measured, and standard is set in Torah to determine which is good and what is undesirable.  To those who seek to be open, caring, and live righteous all burdens will be shared, all things held in common. Alas in today’s world that is a rare person that is willing to be held to the same standard they seek from others. Unfair/unbalanced measure will not be applied to favor those who wish to walk in wickedness, covetous, or other sin.

We must limit what we expect from others by their ability!

If we expect more of someone than they are capable of, that isn’t their shortcoming, it is ours for calling them to standard beyond their grasp. Regardless of what the pint wishes, it isn’t a quart…  Be encouraged and learn to grow, and be aware of what you expect from others… don’t look to quarts to be pints.  Shalom Shalom!
